No. Pod Salt is not a stop-smoking product. It is a nicotine product for adult smokers and vapers aged 18+, and nicotine is highly addictive, according to the US FDA. If you want to quit, speak to a doctor or a stop-smoking service, who can help you choose a proven method.
Pod Salt is a UK e-liquid and disposable brand known for its smooth nicotine hit and variety of flavors. Adult smokers ask us this question often, so here is a straight answer.
Below we explain what Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) is, how nicotine salt differs from freebase, which flavors adult smokers often pick, and where to get quit support.
What Makes Pod Salt Different?
What is Pod Salt?
Pod Salt is a UK e-liquid and vape brand made by Xyfil Ltd in Preston. Podsalt Dubai sells two of its e-liquid lines: Pod Salt Core (SaltNic), a 20 mg nicotine salt in 30 ml, and Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo), a 3 mg freebase in 50 ml for sub-ohm tanks, plus Pod Salt disposables such as the Nexus 6000, Pearl Bar 6000 and Pearl Pro 10000.
Nicotine Salt or Freebase? What UAE Vapers Should Know
Knowing the difference between nicotine salt and freebase helps you choose. Nicotine salt gives a smoother throat hit at higher strengths such as 20 mg. In a 2021 randomized trial in JAMA Network Open, adult users rated salt formulations smoother and less harsh than freebase. Smoother does not mean weaker: 20 mg is a strong product. Freebase feels harsher at the same strength, so it is usually sold in lower strengths for sub-ohm devices.
That is why Pod Salt Core (SaltNic), a 20 mg nicotine salt, suits small MTL pod devices, while Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo), a 3 mg freebase, suits sub-ohm tanks.
Why MTL Devices Feel Familiar
To get the most out of Pod Salt it’s best paired with MTL (mouth-to-lung) devices. These devices have a tight draw similar to a cigarette, with controlled vapor. It’s not about clouds; it’s about a familiar draw.

Why Adult Smokers in the UAE Try Pod Salt
1. Looking Beyond Cigarettes
Some adult smokers look at other nicotine products because they want something without ash or smoke. Rules on vaping products in the UAE can change, so check current official guidance and follow local rules on where you can vape.
2. Compact and Easy
Pod Salt’s small bottle size and compatibility with slim devices appeal to:
- Office workers in Dubai’s business districts.
- Frequent travelers looking for hassle free nicotine.
3. Ready-to-Use Options
If you don’t want a refillable device, Pod Salt also makes disposables:
…all come pre-filled with 20 mg nicotine salt, so there is no separate device to buy.
Pod Salt Flavors Adult Smokers Often Choose
Adult smokers who try vaping often start with tobacco or menthol flavors. Here are popular Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) flavors:
- Cuban Creme: A smooth, creamy tobacco blend for adults who want a familiar taste.
- Ice Mint: For menthol cigarette lovers, Ice Mint is a crisp, refreshing experience with a clean throat hit and cool exhale.
- Double Apple: A mix of red and green apples that provides a mild, naturally sweet profile. Popular among light smokers who want a gentle, all-day vape that doesn’t overwhelm the taste buds.
- Lychee Ice: Not a tobacco flavor, but a good pick for adults who prefer something light and fruity with a menthol twist.
- Strawberry: A clean, straightforward fruit flavor that works well as an all-day vape. Just enough sweetness without being overpowering.
In a 20 mg nic salt pod kit, the closest tobacco-style options are Classic Tobacco and Cuban Creme from Pod Salt Core (SaltNic). Among the disposables, menthol fans often look at Fresh Mint (Go 2500 and Nexus 6000), Icy Mint (Nexus 6000), Fresh Menthol (Pearl Bar 6000) and Berry Menthol (Pearl Pro 10000).
Tips for Adult Smokers Trying Pod Salt
Keep these tips in mind:
- Know the Strength: Pod Salt Core (SaltNic) is 20 mg, which is strong. Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) is 3 mg. See our guide to choosing the right nicotine strength.
- Use the Right Device: Use pod systems for 20 mg nicotine salt and sub-ohm tanks for 3 mg freebase.
- Get Familiar: Tobacco and menthol are the closest to smoking.
- Get Support: If you want to quit, speak to a doctor or a stop-smoking service. The NHS says expert help from a Stop Smoking Service gives you the best chance of quitting smoking for good.

Pod Salt and Quitting Smoking: FAQs
Can first-time vapers use Pod Salt?
Adult smokers aged 18 and over can. Nicotine salt gives a smooth inhale, but 20 mg is strong, so start slowly. People who do not already use nicotine should not start.
How long does a 30 ml Pod Salt Core (SaltNic) bottle last?
It depends on how much you vape and your device, so we do not quote a fixed number of days. A refillable MTL pod kit uses less e-liquid per puff than a sub-ohm tank.
What nicotine strength should I start with?
Pod Salt Core (SaltNic) is 20 mg nicotine salt, and Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) is 3 mg freebase. 20 mg is strong, so take it slowly.
Who can buy Pod Salt from Podsalt Dubai?
We sell only to adults aged 18 and over.
Can I mix Pod Salt with other e-liquids?
We do not recommend mixing e-liquids. Use each one as sold, in the device it is made for.
