Why Flavors Matter in Vaping
Vaping Personalization
- A Flavor for Every Taste: Flavors give vapers the option to choose profiles that match their taste, from sweet fruity to crisp menthol or rich tobacco notes.
- Familiar or New: Tobacco-style flavors such as Cuban Creme offer a familiar taste, while fruit and ice blends offer something new.
Sensory Experience
- A Multi-Sensory Experience: Flavors add a sensory element to vaping, it’s more than just about nicotine delivery. The right flavor can trigger memories, relax or energize.
- Personal Preference: Taste is personal, so a flavor one vaper loves can feel too sweet or too cold to another. Trying one bottle first is the safest way to find out.
Wider Appeal Across User Types
- Newbies to Experts: Newbies will go for simpler, more familiar flavors like mango or mint, while experts will explore more complex blends to test their taste.
- Retain User Loyalty: A wide range of flavors means users stay engaged and loyal to the brand, they know they can always find a new favorite.

How to Choose the Right Flavor
Identifying Your Flavor Profile
- Fruity, menthol, tobacco or dessert?
- Try seasonal flavors like tropical fruit blends in the summer.
Considering Nicotine Strength
- Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) comes in 3 mg freebase, a light strength for sub-ohm vaping. Even at 3 mg, nicotine is highly addictive, as the US FDA explains.
- If you want a stronger hit in a small pod device, choose a 20 mg nicotine salt such as Pod Salt Core (SaltNic).
Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) is a 50 ml bottle at 70/30 VG/PG for sub-ohm tanks. Pod Salt Core (SaltNic) is 30 ml of 20 mg nicotine salt at 50/50 VG/PG for pod kits. Several flavors on this list, including Blueberry Mist, Mango Ice, Lychee Ice and Cuban Creme, come in both lines.
Subo Flavors Outside the Top 10
Two more Pod Salt E-Liquid (Subo) flavors did not make the top 10: Strawberry, a plain ripe-berry flavor, and Blue Raspberry, a sweet and tangy candy-style berry. If you vape a pod kit instead of a tank, Core (SaltNic) adds flavors Subo does not have, such as Banana Ice, Cantaloupe Ice, Strawberry Kiwi Ice, Grape and Classic Tobacco.
